Old Durham Roman villa site (Durham City)

The site of a Romano-British farmstead with bath-house, dating to the 2nd-4th centuries AD. These may be the remains of a Roman villa. Nearby the parts of two round houses were found. The main house was probably somewhere nearby. The site has probably been destroyed by quarrying.
