Site of a footbridge at Count's Corner, Durham City (Durham City)
In 1574, a bridge was built over the River Wear at this site. However, it was swept away in a flood in 1771. A temporary bridge was put up until this bridge was finished in 1777. The remains of the footbridge can still be seen in the west bank of the river.
