The old Red House. Early 18th century. Brick built with stone raised and chamfered quoins, moulded architraves and sills, modillion cornice, stone doorpiece with pulvinated frieze and modillion cornice. Two stone vases on parapet. Two storeys and attic; four windows with late glazed sash windows. Slate roof with three tall double chimneys, one retaining moulded stone capping. Two gabled dormers behind parapet with two-light casements. Central doorway with through passage to Dorothy Foster Court: eight-panel door. Lead rainwater pipe head with initials 'T.F.'. stone voussoirs to rear door. (1)
