This site has buildings on it on the first edition Ordnance Survey maps of the 1860's (1) but a church is first labelled here on the second edition OS maps of the 1890's (2). Streetview images of 2009 (3) show that the Methodist church on the site today is in a fairly modern looking building suggesting the original church has been completely re-built. The building is of a stone construction with pitched roof. White painted timber cladding is decorated with a large cross on the road facing south gable and a flat roofed projection with low stone wall, timber frame and many windows serves as an entrance porch. The church is known to contain a British Legion memorial roll of honour (4).
